Axfood is one of the initiative-takers behind Diversity Charter Sweden, a company network for sharing knowledge and experience about diversity. The network aims to contribute to successful and profitable work with diversity issues.
Axfood has a policy that requires all companies in the Group to draw up plans in support of local equal opportunity and diversity work. Diversity is a matter of the benefits that are gained when people of different backgrounds are brought together, including their expertise, experience, talents, qualifications and personalities. The Group's explicit objective is to achieve an even gender balance in management positions, i.e., that men and women will be represented with a span of 40%-60% in each company's management by 2015 at the latest.
